We used this camp stove kit every day while we were camping. In the morning, we used the kettle to boil water for oatmeal, then brewed some coffee, and toasted our bagels over the embers. In the evening, we would make soup or hot chocolate. It's fueled with biomass around you (sticks and twigs) and charges a battery with the energy, which you can then use to charge your devices.

Keep it with you!

Usually I'm skeptical of things like this, because it seems too good to be true (a cup that collapses and doesn't leak, say what?), but I thought I'd try and it really is everything I've wanted. On our trip we drank a lot of coffee, and we created a lot of unnecessary waste cause I hadn't found the right travel mug. No more! Now I just hand the barista my cup, and voila! Give it a shot (of espresso, ha).

Both of us carried one of these around wherever we went. Because they're insulated, the ice cold water you put it in the morning will still be ice cold at the end of the day (seriously). In the heat of the summer, you realize how important this feature really is. We also used this to store extra soup from dinner and to steal coffee from our hostel's breakfast. Gotta be resourceful.

This container can be used as a handy lunchbox or as a take-out container. Many food establishments still have styrofoam or plastic take-out containers that are usually only used one time, during the short distance from the restaurant to the fridge. Prevent the unnecessary waste by bringing this with you.

We used our travel Berkey throughout our trip, starting the very first day when the water at the farm smelled so strongly of minerals that we couldn't even drink it. We set this up in our trailer, and after a little while, the water was perfectly drinkable. They take out 99.999% of viruses, pesticides, heavy metals, pharmaceuticals, and basically every other toxin (plus fluoride if you get the extra filters!).
